First there was one Brisbane Brass band, a number one pretty good top of class band.
Who could all double tongue and brought in their young to form the first BB youth band.
The kids soon out grew the junior band hall milieu and became the BB Number 2 Band.
That was all very good, the band was a blast, played as they should and could never come last.
Well winners are grinners and grinners are winners but what could be done with the line of beginners?
Yes you guessed it, the leaders addressed it, on a street marching morn, the juniors keep coming the drummers were drumming and so BB 3 was born.
And so to the present, to the contest we went with BB Bands One, Two and Three.
We went to have fun, give the others a run and have a go at coming in number one.
Well Three finished 1 and One gained a 3 and for Two a shared 2 was to be.
A flick of the stick for Phil, a band all together for Bill and no whitewash for Josh though a tie is a squash.
Usually results come after the contest but this time the wait really was the longest, for points to be sent from another event, an international gala fun fest.
That just about wraps up the event where this October we sent
not juniors but adults after results and now we are content.
And just when you think there’s no more, take a look at the door,
coming in full of life, ready to make strife, hey hey it’s BB Number 4!
